Owners of a CANIS may change the name of the CANIS via the administrative menu, which you may enter by repeating back the directive commands you created upon initialization. Please keep in mind that loss of your CANIS' custom name to initialize a command is not covered by warranty, and may require complete reprogramming of your CANIS to correct.
Just like living beings, your CANIS will make observations and act on those observations, as well as fulfill your instrunctions. Please instruct responsibly. If you feel you are in danger, you may enact the directive commands created upon initial configuration of your CANIS, you may contact a support agent, or if this is an emergency please dial 911.

Our developers have given extraordinary detail to the security and authorization procedures included in your ownership of your CANIS. This includes each CANIS programing it's owner upon initialization, as well as the creation of directive commands that ensure you retain full, absolute control of your CANIS at all times. To verify a person is the true owner of the CANIS, there are a multitude of details your CANIS is capable of detecting about you. This can be as obvious as having the right voice parameters, and as subtle as having the right retina details, skin pigment, and DNA. However, all of this can be overridden at any time via the directive commands should you be incapacitated, or if you would like to grant another person full control over your CANIS. This is a popular option for spouses, as well as willing your CANIS to another individual though they will need to still have your CANIS return to a service center for reprogramming upon transfer to a new owner. Please remember that any person who provides CANIS with these directive commands, will retain complete control over your CANIS and that does include the ability to instruct your CANIS to remove you as an authorized user, and even changing the directive commands to new ones and should never be given to a friend or neighbor.
